There are a few fans of Lego on this site and it’s worth checking out this brilliant vid of the launch of a Lego shuttle that literally makes it into orbit!
Built by Raul Oaida (from Romania), the launch took place from central Germany, reaching a maximum altitude of 35000m. A 1600g meteo balloon filled with helium was used alongside a GoPro Hero, Spot GPS and of course Lego Space Shuttle model 3367.
Launch took place on the 31st of December 2011, the equipment was recovered via GPS tracking 240 km S-E.

Two things I love combined OK GO and the Muppets! My wife and I really wanted to take the boys to see the new film at the cinema but that is not going to happen. Last summer my we were in Lancaster in the north of the UK and were going to go and see Cars to at the local Vue Cinema. What we weren’t of at the time is that the Lancaster Vue is well known for being the loudest cinema on the planet! As soon as the first trailer came on which was for Tintin the kids exploded in uncontrollable tears and demanded to leave immediately. Since then the won’t go anywhere near the cinema which means we won’t get to see the Muppets until it is released on DVD.
How great would it be to pull one of these little beauties out at a meeting write a name in it and casually put it back in your bag? I will be ordering one later today!
This is the second of my fathers commercials from the 90’s I would like to share with you. This particular one is part of a series he did for Harp Larger. The more famous ‘Lionel Blair Cut’ is available on youtube through this link. This is my favourite though as I know how much trouble they had trying to get that dog to jump through the window. Hope you enjoy it.
This does look funny but does anyone think Leigh Francis (Keith Lemon) should be a bit annoyed as the bear does remind me of his ‘bear’ character.
‘This is 40’ Looks like you may have to be close to the age or have kids to really connect with it but as the population is getting older I’m sure it will find the right audiences funny bones.
With halo 4 on the pre-order list of antisocial excuses, it had me remembering the funny review style and animation of Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw. A Games reviewer for the online magazine ‘The Escapist’, Check out his pages at http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation
and try to keep up!
Following on from the Genius that was Mrs Doubtfire as a horror, here is The Shining, as a feel good, family movie.
This is a masterpiece in my opinion as I always found Willy Wonka a bit sinister.
